Leopard Hill

Leopard Hill is set in a small clearing in the beautiful Naboisho Conservancy. With only six smart tents it offers good quality accommodation and the fantastic wildlife-viewing opportunities of the Naboisho Conservancy.

The guest tents are well spaced out for privacy and set on raised wooden decks with a verandah our front, each overlooking one of three waterholes where animals frequently come to drink. Each deck area has a small firepit and your room attendant will light a fire in the evening to accompany your sundowner drinks.

Inside, the tents are surprisingly spacious and attractive, with wooden floors, double bed or twin beds, coffee table and a daybed. The décor draws its inspiration from East Africa and India, using traditional wooden carvings and cow hides sitting alongside tapestries, Indian elephant cushions and oriental fabrics.  A unique tent feature is the retractable roof. At the press of a button the fabric roof retracts to reveal the sky, leaving just a thin mosquito net for protection. At the back of each tent, the good-sized bathroom has twin washbasins, indoor and outdoor plumbed showers, a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

Leopard Hill has a spacious lounge tent adjacent to the dining area. The lounge houses a bar and library with interesting safari books. The lounge tent is built on leveled terraces, offering cozy spots by the fire to enjoy the vastness of African wilderness. Dinner is a memorable time of the day, and the option of where to dine is up to you. You can join your safari companions for a meal and an evening of stories and laughter at the dining tent, or dine outdoors in the privacy of your own tent, alone with your loved one. The choice is yours.

Loisaba Tented Camp

Perched on the edge on an escarpment offering uninterrupted views all the way to snow-capped Mount Kenya, Loisaba has twelve spacious tents with wide verandahs and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the enjoyment of the sweeping vista. The main areas of Loisaba Tented Camp include a large open dining area, separate open lounge and bar, a large wooden decking area for outside dining, relaxing and enjoying the view, and one of Africa’s most picturesque infinity pools.

Loisaba is a functioning ranch and a conservation success story; it is a prime example of successful collaboration between conservation, communities, ranching and tourism.

Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions are another reason to pay a visit to this park. The only kind of their species in the world, they make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season, and are a well-known but rather rare feature of the northern park.

In addition to the lions, Lake Manyara National Park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world — a fact that accounts for interesting game viewing of large families of these primates.
