A warm Indian Ocean breeze blew in the scent of exotic spices. We gently bobbed upon the clear indigo sea. Suddenly a grey white fin broke the surface. Then another, then more until dozens of whales rolled languidly right in front of our astonished eyes.
Their rough humped backs were so close that we could see the barnacles that had hitched a ride with these gentle giants of the deep.
