A travel protection plan is a package of insurance benefits and non-insurance services intended to protect your travel investment, your belongings, and most importantly, you. Most plans provide benefits for:

 

  • Trip Cancellation: Reimburses your non-refundable travel arrangements if you must cancel your trip for a covered reason prior to departure.

  • Trip Interruption: Reimburses your unused travel arrangements if you must interrupt or return home early from your trip for a covered reason.

  • Medical Expenses: Pays medical expenses for a covered sickness or injury occurring during your trip.

  • Missed Connection: Provides You with a reimbursement for the prepaid unused portions of Your land or water Travel Arrangements , plus the additional costs to join Your Trip, if Your arrival at the Trip destination is delayed for 3 hours or more for a covered reason.

  • Travel Delay: Covers additional expenses incurred for meals and accommodations when you have a delay. Your delay must be for 12 hours or more.

  • Baggage Delay: reimburses for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles purchased when you baggage is delayed for 24 hours or more during your trip.

  • Pre-Existing Medical Conditions: includes an exclusion waiver to waive the exclusion for pre-existing medical conditions when the plan is purchased within 21 days of receipt of the initial payment or deposit for your trip. You must also not be disabled from travel at the time your plan payment was paid.
