This area is often referred to as the holy grail of geology with some of the oldest rock formations on the planet.

Your game ranger will be at the airport to greet you and transfer you to your reserved lodge. As you alight from your vehicle at the lodge entrance, you will be warmly greeted by the camp staff and escorted to your luxurious accommodation, in the heart of South Africa’s most famed wildlife area.

Later in the afternoon guests will congregate for refreshments as the guides prepare for the afternoon / evening game activity. Kruger Park is known for its large leopard population; keep your cameras ready!

Return from your afternoon activity with some time to freshen up and enjoy pre-dinner cocktails. Then, join your fellow safari-goers at the dining table and share stories on your wildlife adventures while enjoying the lodges’ superb cuisine.

Stretching over 15, 000 hectares, Nkomazi is a place where guests can experience tranquility, witness the free-roaming wildlife and admire the landscapes of scenic beauty under the African sky. The reserve represents a kaleidoscope of Africa’s habitats in its ability to support both high and lowveld game species on the high-lying grassland and the low-lying bushveld areas therefore supporting an ecological balance.

Nkomazi boasts 10 luxury tents. These tents are specially positioned to blend into the landscape and linked by walkways and paths through the bush. All tents are furnished with luxury campaign style furniture, creating a traditional “Out of Africa” feel with all the added comforts and luxuries of 5-star accommodation. Each tent features comfort cooling/heating, ceiling fan, international dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, ensuite bathroom with indoor shower and outdoor bath, private minibar, electronic safe, hairdryer, fitted international adaptors and private expansive teak sun decks with private plunge pool.

Highly skilled rangers and trackers ensure big game viewing opportunities during dawn and dusk safaris, whilst bushwalks are for the more adventurous. Guests are invited to relax and take in the African surrounds after breakfast on the main deck or visit the local sites with fascinating San rock art.
