Tortilis Camp, Amboseli

Tortillis CampTortilis Camp is a Classic Luxury Safari Camp seductively embraced by a romantic hillside setting, on the edge of Amboseli National Park. The main lodge building is open sided and has unrivalled views of Mount Kilimanjaro, rising out of the semi-arid bush studded plains, Africa’s highest mountain, and the highest free standing mountain in the world. You may see the soaring snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro from both bar and dining room.

Winner of British Airways’ prestigious eco-tourism award, Tortilis Camp pioneered low impact, high comfort tourism. Guests have access to a private 30,000 acre conservancy facing the mountain and can enjoy walks with experienced Masai guides, bush breakfasts and sundowners. Tortilis Camp is famous for Northern Italian cuisine, based on original family recipes. What could be better than enjoying this delicious cuisine, in which Tortillis Camp specializes, and simultaneously watching “Mount Kili” slowly reveal itself from behind the clouds? Indeed it is food for body and soul!
